Love them or hate them, the people in Las Vegas know a good bet when they see one. And it looks like they know just how good a bet the Patriots are. At Bovada Sportsbook, one of the largest online sportsbooks in the world, the Patriots just moved back into the top spot to win the Super Bowl.
Odds have been changing a lot because of Tom Brady's suspension and Jimmy Garoppolo's injury, but as of Wednesday, the Patriots are sitting at 15/4 odds to hoist the Lombardi in Houston. Behind them? The Packers (8/1), Steelers (9/1), and Seahawks (10/1). Considering that Tom Brady comes back in Week 5, it's time to get your bets in now on the Pats. After the GOAT returns, they'll only get better, driving down the odds at books everywhere.
Speaking of Brady, he's still in the thick of the MVP race, despite his suspension. Aaron Rodgers is the frontrunner, at 9/2 odds, while Ben Roethlisberger and Cam Newton are both situated at 6/1. The Pats QB is at 16/1, which could be the best position he's at all year--once again, if you're a betting man, now is the time!
On other fronts, you probably shouldn't put your money on the Patriots becoming AFC Champions this year. It's as safe a bet as any, yes, but that's the problem--you'll only get 2/1 odds if New England wins, and if not, you're out of luck. Most other contenders have similarly poor odds, with the Steelers and Broncos just behind the Pats at 9/2 and 11/2, respectively.
If you've got some money to burn, the Pats are a pretty good option. At 15/4, the odds are still alright, and they're the safest bet in the league to win it all. If you're into long shots, Brady for MVP is just as good, considering how motivated he will undoubtedly be to return from suspension. So, get those bets in before Week 5, and best of luck!
