Rex Burkhead, Alan Branch, James White, Chris Hogan out vs Bills
New England Patriots
The Patriots will be extremely shorthanded this week against the Buffalo Bills. On Friday's injury report, the team ruled out running back Rex Burkhead and defensive tackle Alan Branch with knee injuries. Eight other players were listed as questionable, including Chris Hogan, Kyle van Noy, James White, LaAdrian Waddle, and Matthew Slater.
Now, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that White and Hogan will not play. Without them in the lineup, RB Mike Gillislee and WR Philip Dorsett (along with the newly-acquired Kenny Britt) will have to step up.
Patriots’ RB James White (ankle) and WR Chris Hogan (shoulder), both listed as questionable, are not expected to play Sunday against the Bills, per sources.
Additionally, the Patriots added Nate Solder to the report Saturday night with an illness. While he's listed as questionable, it's still not known whether or not he'll suit up on Sunday. If both he and Waddle can't go, the Pats situation at tackle could become pretty desperate.
