Ahead of the draft, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is regarded among the top signal-callers in the class. Before the combine, Mayfield talked with the New York Post, saying that he admires Tom Brady and would take any opportunity to work with the Patriots QB.

When asked which quarterback's brain he'd like to pick, Mayfield responded with this: "Tom Brady, no doubt...I would love to see how he prepares during the week. I’d love to just kind of sit back and watch him first, and then sit down and ask him questions about why. Because I know he does everything with a purpose, so it’d be great to learn from the greatest of all time."

In addition to the compliments, Mayfield also indirectly mentioned Brady's competitiveness and drive when asked about his confidence on the field. "I’m confident, I wouldn’t say cocky. I don’t have it all figured out. If I was Tom Brady, then we would maybe have a different conversation..."

Mayfield is definitely out of the Patriots' range in the draft, but that doesn't mean he couldn't sit down with Brady on his own for a film session or workout. We'll have to wait and see whether he takes the opportunity to do so before the draft.
