The Patriots announced over the weekend that they've re-signed special-teamer Brandon Bolden on a one-year, $880K deal.

While Bolden is officially listed as a running back, he provides little more than depth and injury insurance behind Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead, and Mike Gillislee--his real value comes from his special-teams work. He's earned the trust of Bill Belichick over his six years in the league, and has distinguished himself with his ability to play on all special teams units (coverage and returns). Hopefully he can bring the same level of commitment to the team in 2018.
