The #Titans are signing CB Malcolm Butler on a 5-year contract worth more than $61M with more than $30M guaranteed, source said. Wow.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 13, 2018
The #Titans are signing former #Patriots RB Dion Lewis to a 4-year deal that makes him a Top 10 running back in the NFL.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 14, 2018
Butler and Lewis have played key roles for the Pats over the past few years. Lewis, for example, led New England in rushing last year, while Butler has played over 95% of the team's defensive snaps for the past two years now. Beyond money, the chance to work in some new scenery while still retaining familiar a familiar style (former Pats linebacker Mike Vrabel is the Titans' new head coach) probably helped lure them to Nashville.
Butler's deal is for $61+ million over 5 years, with roughly $30 million guaranteed. Elaborating on Rapport's tweet, NFL.com reported Lewis' contract is worth $20 million total with an additional $3 million available through incentives. We'll get more detailed figures when they officially sign.
