The Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night to win their Eastern Conference Semifinal series 4-1 and advance to face the Cavs in the Conference Finals. And after humiliating Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe in the first round, Celtics point guard Terry Rozier met a special guest in the second round--former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe.
Bledsoe and Rozier first connected when Rozier wore a vintage Bledsoe jersey ahead of Game 3 in the Bucks series (trolling his opponent, Eric Bledsoe). Drew was featured wearing one of Rozier's "Scary Terry" shirts to cheer him a couple games later, and it all escalated from there. Ahead of the game, Bledsoe spoke with WBZ-TV to share a few words on actually meeting Rozier for the first time. Apparently, he's even planning to make a new wine called "Terry Rose."
It’s mostly been fun because Terry has been playing such great basketball. If he wasn’t playing as great as he’s been playing, it would have been a non-story...Boston is a pretty unique sports town. It’s a very serious sports town and people remember their history, remember the athletes who played here. Thankfully they didn’t all throw their Drew Bledsoe jerseys out; kept them in the back of their closets so they could find them.”
Yes, folks. That's Drew Bledsoe crashing the Game 5 press conference. Keep your eyes open for a new wine called Terry Rosé. pic.twitter.com/v5VpRf4PLU
