Bill Belichick was spotted at the Red Sox game against the Yankees last Sunday night. NBCSN's Phil Perry captured the coach's reaction to a Sox win on Twitter:
Belichick talking some Red Sox after a visit to Fenway over the weekend: "I marvel at the way they compete, how consistent they've been...Wish the Red Sox nothing but the best. Not that they need any help from me."— Phil Perry (@PhilAPerry) August 7, 2018
The Sox currently have MLB's best record at 81-35, and are well on their way to claiming another AL East division crown. Likewise, expectations are high for the Patriots (as usual) this season as they hope to win a sixth Super Bowl title in the Tom Brady era. New England started the preseason off with a comeback win, beating the Redksins 26-17 on Thursday night. We'll see if, like the Red Sox, they can continue to win when the games begin to count.
