50 Most Valuable Sports Teams: Where do the Patriots End Up?
Forbes.com released the rankings for the 50 most valuable sports teams in the world, and the Patriots are pretty high on that list! They are tied for 6th, with the recently purchased Los Angeles Dodgers, at $1.4 billion.
I can understand why the Cowboys are higher up than the Patriots, because they have a great history and have been "America's Team." How are the Redskins worth more than the Patriots? I have no idea. But one thing I do know is that the Patriots were the team to beat last decade and won 3 Super Bowls, which I guess is not enough to boost the value of the team above the mediocre Washington Redskins.
By the way, thats not the only Massachusettes team making the list. The Red Sox ranked 24th with a net worth $1 billion!
