As WEEI's Christopher Price adds, Bill Bellichick had a lot of respect for both Stallworth and Bulman, cutting them both so early means they will have a better chance of make another team.

Stallworth's cut is unfortunate, but it was not necessarily a surprise. While he had been largely impressive in camp, it was noted he occasionally had a case of the drops. It was probably obvious that he was going to be cut when he only came in to Friday's preseason game very late, playing with the likes of Jeremy Ebert and Jesse Holley.

The Patriots have to get down to a 75 man roster by 4pm today. They will then have to cut down to the final 53 on Friday.

UPDATE: Add fullback Spencer Larsen to that list.
