Rant on the referees

PatriotsLife's contributor from overseas, Brendan Annely, is without internet right now. That didn't stop him from wanting to express his frustration with the refs over tonight's Patriots loss.

I have to agree with Brendan, this was a horribly officiated game. There's no doubt the calls effected the outcome, and arguments could be made on both sides. If the Patriots had won, the Ravens fans would've had just as good a reason to cry about the referees. They call a ticky tack call on one play (how many defensive holdings were there?) and then let something slide on the next.

OK, it's 5am. And I stayed up this late to have our game ruined by these refs that don't know the rules. The game was only entertaining because they turned it into a joke. I might not have been this pissed if we won, but it was still just awful.

Both sides got some ridiculous calls. It wouldve been a great game anyway, but the refs turned into the most frustrating night of my football life. Mr. Goodell - SORT IT OUT!

We've lost 2 games on awful calls. A simple FG turned into a complicated one vs ARI. A few big stops by our D got overturned by phantom fouls. The lack of quality refs has turned the beginning of this year into a joke. Fuming is the word.

I think this conveys the views of a lot of fans... I would go on, but I'm knackered.
