Welker on Brady, "The toughest metrosexual"

Boston Herald:

“He’s such a good-looking guy,” Welker said. “Obviously, he gets banged up, and he’s probably the toughest metrosexual I’ve ever come across.”

But at the end of the day, Welker admired Brady’s resiliency.

“Any time you see your leader out there, going out there and taking hits like that and everything else,” Welker said. “You ask him if it’s broken. He doesn’t know, and he doesn’t care. He loves football, and he loves playing. He does a great job.”

Add that to another one of Brady's accomplishments. Three time Super Bowl champion, two time MVP and one tough metrosexual.

In Brady's press conference last night, he mentioned that he needed some more scratches and bruises and a reporter quipped, "what are you, a pretty boy?". Brady laughed it off, saying he hopes not.

Welker gives him half credit apparently.

All kidding aside, Brady's played through several injuries - including back in 2009 when he broke some ribs - and has said nothing about it. He's no Logan Mankins playing through an ACL injury, but he's tougher than a lot of other quarterbacks out there.
