Alfonzo Dennard impressive, earns more playing time?

Rookie seventh round cornerback Alfonzo Dennard missed a lot of training camp and he has barely played at all this season.

Yesterday he got his first real chance, and he could be moving up the depth chart. He had a key pass defense on a third down that stopped a Broncos drive and also had good coverage on the prior play, a deep pass down the sideline.

I've really been hoping that Dennard could step up and contribute to this team. One of the weaknesses of this team has been the secondary so the more play makers they can get back there, the better.

For those that don't know the story, Dennard had a high draft grade but fell due to an off field incident. He played alongside Prince Amukamara at Nebraska. He is a player with a lot of talent and it's good to finally see it show up on the field.

Here's hoping this was a taste of things to come. Keep your eyes out for #37.
