Talk is Cheap

This is going to be a common theme this week. After Richard Sherman's Twitter antics following Seattle's win this past Sunday and the upcoming game against the ever so lovable New York Jets, expect the Patriots to take a lot of heat.

Sexy Rexy has already gone on record today stating that "I want them to know and they know that I think we are going to beat them." I'm sure he feels super confident in his team because A) the Jets are first in the AFC East (mull that one over for a second), B) they are coming off a slaughter of the Indianapolis Colts, and C) Mark Sanchez threw a touchdown finally.

Here's what I think he doesn't really understand. If Rex actually expects to come to Foxboro, draw up a gameplan where Mark Sanchez throws less than 20 passes and have Greene and McKnight run the ball 40+ times, and come out with a victory, then he is poorly mistaken. I'll make this promise to all of you right now. If that actually happens I will sacrifice my feet to Rex Ryan.

Looking back at yesterday's game against Seattle we got burned deep. Plain and simple. Issue here is that neither Sanchez or Tebow can throw a football like that. Even if they could who would it be thrown to? Cromartie? Nick Folk? With Wilfork, Carter, Spikes, and Ninko playing as strong as they are in that front 7, there is no chance a running game will be established at Gillette.

Then there's the Brady factor. If you want to see a quarterback play out of his mind this coming week, make sure you watch this game. He's not going to throw more, he won't be hectic or frazzled. He will be a general. He will command this game and shred this ailing defense apart. Plain and simple.

Let's go out this coming Sunday and reclaim that top spot in the AFC East shall we?
