A Legend Is Born

What an appropriate Sunday victory for the Patriots. The day that a ceremony is had for the retirement of number 33 Kevin Falk, the little back that could Danny Woodhead has his first ever 2 touchdown performance.

Slowly becoming Falks replacement, Danny Woodhead is really shaping up to be a great third down back out of the backfield. Scrappy, low to the ground force, and some speed have made him quite a threat as a receiver. Coming in to this season too Josh McDaniels stated that he really wanted to start using Woodhead more in the Patriots offense, and he has been taking on that roll in stride.

In his weekly Monday talk with Dennis and Callahan from WEEI, Brady went as far as to say "Why did the Jets release this guy?" Let's be honest... they're the Jets. Who knows why they do anything.

A great pick up again by Belichick to bring Woodhead on board. If he can keep this up, he's going to be a key roll player for seasons to come.
