Aaron Hernandez out vs the Bills

Ultimately this is probably for the best. Hernandez probably came back too soon, as he suffered a setback in practice before the St. Louis game. Three straight weeks off, or maybe one more week, should probably leave him healthy enough to start contributing on a regular basis. Even in the few games that Hernandez did play since his injury, it was obvious that he wasn't the same.

Luckily Visanthe Shiancoe has been finally activated after being placed on the Temporary IR list. He could immediately have a big role in this offense while Hernandez is out. Of course, it all depends on how he takes advantage of the opportunity.

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, reports ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, citing a source familiar with Hernandez's ankle injury.
