Brandon Spikes not offended by Fitzpatrick's name calling

But he'll still try to light you up next time.

ESPNBoston:
On the play, Fitzpatrick lowers his head forward as Spikes was closing on him, so it’s possible the league might spare Spikes a fine.

“I thought the same thing,” Spikes said of the play. “It kind of takes a little bit of my aggression away, but hey, I have to do business as business being done. So it is what it is. It’s definitely discouraging though. That’s how I play, I’m physical.”

Some view Spikes in a Rodney Harrison-type way in the sense that teammates love to have him on their side, while opponents are sometimes enraged by him.

“I’m a passionate player, I love what I do,” Spikes said, when presented that comparison. “I get a kick out of it. I go to bed thinking about ball, I wake up thinking about ball, so you can see it when I’m playing. My teammates love when I go out and play for them every snap.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick needs to stop being such a sore loser. Seriously, a Quarterback is going to freak out on a player after a tough hit - at which he was slightly at fault.

Spikes isn't going to get fined, Fitzpatrick just needs to man up.

How many times do we hear opposing fans complain about Brady complaining to refs about calls? What the Harvard man did is 10x worse.

It frustrates the hell out of me because it seems like the Bills were intentionally trying to give Spikes the "Dirty Player" label. He's not a dirty player. He's not stomping on people's heads. He's not hitting people after the play. He's not aiming for people's heads with his helmet. He's just playing aggressive, hard hitting football.

So many NFL fans complain about the "wussification of the game". How defensive players can't hit hard anymore. Well, it's a two way street, Buffalo fans. You can't have the old style of hard hitting football, just not against your team.

It's football. There will be hard hits. There will be injuries. Do Bills fans that are so mad that Fitzpatrick got hit hard and Fred Jackson got a concussion think their special? Was Jackson's the only concussion in the NFL that week? Far from it.

All the whiners need to shut up or just stop watching (or playing) football.
