Rob Gronkowski to miss 4-6 weeks with broken forearm

As @tomecurran reported, Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski broke his forearm. Am told he did it on the Patriots' last extra point.

I guess this is the reason you don't leave your stars in the game with the game so well in hand.

They did show Gronk heading the the locker room but I didn't think anything of it.

This is a tough blow for the Patriots who have to count themselves lucky they actually built some tight end depth this year.

This injury puts Daniel Fells and Visanthe Shiancoe as the Patriots two tight ends, assuming Aaron Hernandez also misses more time.

Gronkowski was the Patriots biggest mismatch and now they'll be missing him for big games against the Jets and likely the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers.

If Gronk misses four weeks, he'll be back for the Jacksonville game on December 23rd. Likely though, we might not see him until the playoffs.
