The Patriots "Swiss Army Knife" will be ready for Dolphins

There's no doubt who the hot player on the New England Patriots team is at the moment. Julian Edelman has had an amazing couple of weeks, scoring touchdowns on special teams, both offensively and defensively, and he's been catching passes from Tom Brady. So the fact he was looking doubtful to play on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins would have been worrying.

However, I think the fact he's been practicing means he'll be good to go, seeing as this is a concussion. You wouldn't want to risk a guy with a concussion injury getting more hurt in practice. So I reckon he'll play.

And it's a good thing too. No offense to Wes Welker, but I'd definitely prefer Edelman in the punt return game. And he's also added something to the pass game. He's being used a lot for WR screens, which have been good for big gains this season.

Edelman has been a vital point for the Patriots recent domination. When he isn't playing in his best position of corner back (just kidding...), he's been contributing pretty much everywhere else: punt returns, pass offense, even catching fumbles for TD's. Edelman's versatility has added something new to the Patriots. And maybe with the likes of Cameron Wake, J.J. Watt and Patrick Willis coming up in the next few weeks, getting the ball out of Brady's hands and into guys who can make plays after the catch will be vital to the success of the Patriots.

Oh, and if you check his Twitter feed, @Edelman11, he loves his burgers. And that's awesome.
