Seven Patriots will play in Pro Bowl, do you even care?

I for one could care less. Who watches this game? It's great for players to be honored with a pro bowl selection but it becomes such a joke of a game. After injuries, etc. there's always a ton of players that get into the Pro Bowl despite probably not deserving it. Andy Dalton played in the Pro Bowl last year. Andy Dalton!

The NFL has released the AFC and NFC rosters for the Pro Bowl, and seven Patriots have been chosen: Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Logan Mankins, Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo and Matthew Slater.

Six of the seven were also Pro Bowlers last year; only Mayo was not, though he was in 2010.

Gronkowski, Mankins, Mayo and Wilfork are designated as starters, while Brady and Welker are backups. There is only one player from each conference recognized for his special teams play, with Slater getting the nod there.

Anyway, there's no surprise with the sselections here. All of the most popular and well known Patriots made the team. Matthew Slater also gets the nod as a special teams player, which probably goes to show how good he is in that role and also how much national attention the Patriots team gets.
