What was Donte Stallworth doing all this time? Watching Dexter

Donte Stallworth has had a pretty quiet Autumn for all of the hype his signing garnered in the off-season. Some thought he could be a huge contributor to a record breaking offense. Again. Instead, he's just been hanging out on his couch.

Stallworth got the call from the Patriots when Julian Edelman went down with a foot injury. Not the way you'd like to earn a spot, but he'll take what he can get.

Mass Live:
“I would have rather it been September, but this isn’t too bad either,” Stallworth said. “It’s better than sitting home and watching ’Dexter’ and ’Boardwalk Empire’ all day.”

The advantage to bringing Stallworth in is that he can theoretically slide right into the offense. I'm sure he'll need to get into a bit of football shape again but he's going to be thrust right into the thick of things. The Patriots are carrying very little receivers on their roster, aside from Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker - Stallworth is it. (Please McDaniels, don't put Matthew Slater in again, it never ends well) If, God forbid, one of those two goes down then Stallworth is a starter.
