Ravens end Patriot season, Harbaugh Bowl Upcoming

The Patriots didn't force any turnovers, Joe Flacco hit a good number of 20+ yard throws, the Patriots could not convert in the redzone, Tom Brady threw two interceptions, Aqib Talib was injured early in the first quarter and Bernard Pollard injured Stevan Ridey - forcing a fumble.

Essentially, it was the perfect storm for the Ravens to win. Everything that needed to happen for Baltimore, happened. And they got their revenge on the Patriots in the AFC championship game, 28-13, and will advance to the Super Bowl to take on Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers.

It also continues the trend of the Ravens beating the Patriots in games following major injuries. In the 2009 playoff game, the Patriots had just lost Wes Welker. Earlier this year, the Patriots had just lost Aaron Hernandez. And this week, the Patriots were coming off losing Rob Gronkowski for the season. That accounts for every win the Ravens have over the Patriots.

The Patriots lead at the half, but Joe Flacco and the Ravens really turned it on in the second half, while the Patriots could not muster much of anything. The theory that Tom Brady always struggles against the Ravens, certainly held true in this game as the Patriots offense was pretty much held to a standstill in the second half

Joe Flacco had yet another good game against the Patriots, outplaying Tom Brady to the tune of 240 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Anquan Boldin guaranteed that the Ravens would win, and they did. He helped back up his talk with two touchdown grabs. Hats off to him.

Can't wait for the Pro bowl!
