I don't understand why we keep running straight at Wilfork? Trying to keep them playing the inside run to open up the passing game? I don't like it even if there is a reason.
If it's 3rd and more than 5, might as well assume we're gonna punt. We're a 2 down team. We're a one down team if we run up the middle for a yard on first down. So basically we have 2nd down to get a first down.
Best hope is an interception for TD. How many would like to see Watt return a swatt for score?

I'm noticing a trend with Gary.
**** up with dumb play calls on 1st and 2nd down...then call a pass play where the defense wisely covers everything past the first down marker and obviously lets us catch the ONE route that we always run 8 yards in front of the marker.
This is why I have said that Gary Kubiak and this offense is done. We're predictable, we rarely go deep, and there is really REALLY "WTF?" play calling at all the wrong times....most always near midfield and into the RZ too.
This is so painful to watch. We're one game away from hosting the AFCC game.

At this point I'm hoping Belichick keeps the pedal on the gas and puts up 50 points on the Texans. That'll embarrass them for sure and put the pressure on McNair to do something this off season. He has got to realize that Kubiak is not good enough and the players we have are not good enough. I honestly don't think playing this game at home and with Cushing would've changed our fortunes. There needs to be a change in philosophy within the organization. But I don't see it happening because Texans fans will keep giving this regime chances until the bottom completely falls off and of course the team makes too much money for McNair to really care about making serious changes.

But with that, there is the idea too that the Patriots have been bending, bending, and playing sort of prevent against us.....they did this to us last time, too, laying off and letting us burn clock.
Trying to control the game was a better plan than letting Schaub sling it around. Schaub looks good when facing an inferior defense OR when facing a prevent defense. That's what average QBs do: Rack up stats and then the Stat Junkies say "But Schaub has like one billion yards with THIS offense!"
