Quantcast

Stories have surfaced about Brandon Lloyd’s wacky ways and multiple reports have the Patriots letting him go. When deciding whether or not to let a player go, the Patriots will consider who else is out there to fill his role as an outside threat.

Timing could not be more on the Patriots side on this one seeing as how Brandon Lloyd’s bonus that would be owed to him would need to be signed by 4 P.M. on March 17th. Free agency opens up on March 12th giving the Patriots ample time to see who’s out there, for what price. All of this will be happening while Lloyd is still under contract so he will not be able to shop himself around until after March 17th.

For the most part I think Lloyd gave you what you asked for and with a year under his belt, he would be sure to improve on last year’s statistics. Lloyd’s signing bonus if 3 million dollars which, if released, would add 2.9 million to an already healthy amount of CAP room.
