Bill Belichick gives all of New England a chubby by hosting Marcus Lattimore

Mass Live
When it comes to the draft, Bill Belichick has always been a sucker for a good value. If he feels the fit is right and is comfortable with the player, he is willing to overlook a magnitude of issues that scare away other teams.
It’s how New England landed Alfonzo Dennard, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, to name three current Patriots starters. And now it appears that South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore has piqued Belichick’s interest.
While not yet 100 percent, Lattimore is hoping to be ready during the first half of the season, if not by the season opener. He’s been working with noted surgeon James Andrews in Florida, who recently called Lattimore “superhuman” when discussing his recovery.
Get him Bill, get him

Or is it just me? I dunno, but it sure as shit shouldn't be. Lattimore was the consensus pre-season Heisman favorite just a year ago (or was it two years ago? I don't remember and am too lazy to look it up). Yeah, I know he's had two very serious knee injuries in the last two years, but I do not care. When James Andrews calls you a "superhuman," he isn't fucking around. See: Peterson, Adrian. Now, I know what you are all saying, "we have Ridley, Vereen, and Bolden who are all very young and solid." I can't argue that. BUT, Lattimore was on the AP, Trent Richardson, etc. path before injuries derailed him. He is on that complete next level of talent that only 5-6 guys in the entire NFL have. When you can get a guy like that on your team while only having to use a mid-round pick, that is just good business. Now, he may never reach his potential with all these knee injuries, but that is just the risk you have to take. I for one am on this bandwagon hard, in fact, I may have found my draft boo. It's Lattimore or bust for me in this draft (not really, but kinda, but really, but not at all, but I want him).
