Former Patriot Joe Andruzzi carries victim from Marathon bombing

If there's one good thing to take from today, it's the immense heart shown by the Boston police force, firefighters and all others who went head first into danger or at the very least took the time to help.

Included amongst the many heroes from earlier today is a former Patriots, not surprisingly, that Patriot is Joe Andruzzi.

Andruzzi was an offensive lineman for the Patriots back in the days when they were winning Super Bowls on the regular. Aside from that, his three brothers were firefighters in New York on 9/11 who were later honored by the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

I guess heroics is in his genes. This photo surfaced via CNN, Joe Andruzzi did not tweet this out or address it on twitter, other than to say he and his family were alright.

The tough Andruzzi is also a cancer survivor, and runs a foundation to support pediatric brain cancer. Please donate here.
