Kevin Faulk to Announce Patriots' Picks at the Draft

Since 2011, it has been an NFL tradition to have an alumni member of the team to read off draft picks. So, you might be wondering who will be doing it for the Patriots. It has been announced that it will be Kevin Faulk.

Faulk came into the league in 1999 and was a Patriot for his entire 13 year career. Throughout that time, Faulk converted 167 first downs and gained 3,607 yards. He was the ultimate third down back before having a third down back was “cool” and his accomplishments shouldn’t be forgotten in all the Super Bowl runs.

Faulk was never a starter, but he was an ultimate team player and would do any job if he thought it could help the team win games. It is a tradition that I think is actually kind of cool and I’m the kind of person that isn’t big on traditions in sports. If you ask me, Faulk was as much a part of our Super Bowl era as anyone else. Faulk will announce the second and third rounds of the draft in the Radio City Music Hall.
