Bill Belichick to meet with Greg Schiano's staff to discuss coaching topics

Coach Bill Belichick and Greg Schiano are good friends. This is pretty well known. Their friendship might be leading to a little bit of an unorthodox meeting between the two coaching staffs this off-season though.

SI:
Although the two coaching staffs will be squaring off in Week 3 of the 2013 regular season, the friendship and bonds shared by New England head coach Bill Belichick and his Tampa Bay counterpart, Greg Schiano, will produce a rather unconventional twist next week. That's when Schiano and six members of his coaching staff will travel to Foxboro to meet and go over coaching topics and techniques with Belichick and his assistants, SI.com has learned.

This is not entirely unheard of, but still out of the ordinary. Belichick's relationship with Schiano has had much influence on personnel as well, as Belichick traded for both Aqib Talib and LeGarrette Blount from Tampa Bay and we all know about Bill's love-fest for Rutgers players (where Schiano coached before last season).

Belichick will apparently talk about logistics for bye weeks, preseason etc. with the Schiano staff. The two teams play in both the preseason and the regular season. Don't be surprised if there is a joint practice in preseason this year, which will be very interesting given that Darrelle Revis is now on the team.
