Belichick Ranks at Number Seven on ESPN's Best Coach in NFL History List

ESPN is channeling its inner Bleacher Report and doing a top 20 list of the greatest NFL coaches of all time. If you would like to see the list to date, you can follow this link. In the most recent revealing, Bill Belichick has been ranked the 7th best coach of all-time in the NFL.

A follow up piece was written here about where Belichick could be, and it was spot on. If it was not for Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin (and SpyGate) then Bill would be top five without at doubt. The nice thing is, and perhaps a very obvious conclusion, Belichick is the highest active coach on this list. He beats out Tom Coughlin and Mike Shanahan, but that was expected.

Belichick, with the help of Tom Brady, has put himself on this list with the New England Patriots, and he could continue to vault himself up this list over the next few years.

P.S. How happy do you think Belichick is that he beat Parcells on the list?
