Help Devin McCourty not wear the Titans mascot uniform and raise money for Tackle Sickle Cell

This is a win-win scenario for Patriots fans. Not only do you get a chance to help Devin McCourty raise money for the Tackle Sickle Cell campaign but also prevent your starting safety from having to travel to Tennessee rocking the T-Rac mascot for the Tennesee Titans.

The two brothers have a bet going as to which team (Team D-Mac or T-Mac) raises more money for Tackle Sickle Cell. The losing brother will have to go to either Foxbourgh or Tennessee dressed as Pat Patriot or T-Rac. Let's force Jason McCourty to have to run around Patriot Place dressed as Pat Patriot! At the same time, Patriots Nation can help this great cause.

On Sunday, June 9, 2013, The McCourty twins will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk in Liberty StThe pate Park in Jersey City, NJ. This 5K Run/Walk is the major fundraising component of the Tackle Sickle Cell Campaign. The Run/Walk is for all ages and will be followed by a celebration including music, food, and fun at the park. Jason & Devin McCourty will be joined on this day by fellow members of the NFL & Rutgers football community. Rutgers Football Head Coach Kyle Flood will be the “Official Race Starter.”

The proceeds raised will go to providing college scholarships, emergency finanical assistance and educational programming/seminars to families whose children have sickle cell. It's a cause near and dear to the brother's hearts as they've witnessed first hand the effects of Sickle Cell on their own family members.

How can you help? If you can't attend the actual event in New Jersey, don't worry. First, head to TackleSickleCell.org then on the home page choose between “Join #TeamJ-Mac” or “Join #TeamD-Mac.” You can either sign up to attend or just donate money directly. Make sure Devin McCourty doesn't lose this bet!
