NFL teams will investigate player's tattoos

According to Bruce Feldman(@BFeldmanCBS) of CBS, NFL teams will be using police experts to investigate player's tattoos. In the wake of the Hernandez case his tattoos came up as a possible link to gang activity and now it seems a player can get in trouble for the ink on their body. When Hernandez was arrested, law enforcement inspected his tattoos to see if he was involved with any gangs and it was reported that he may have been involved with the Bristol Bloods street gang due to the word "blood" on his right hand, though he denies any involvement.

It was very important that Hernandez's tattoos were investigated because he may be a target in prison, according to a gang expert.
“Hernandez could be a very appealing target for someone who wants to make a reputation for himself. The sheriff needs to be extra careful with someone like Hernandez.”
Obviously NFL teams do background checks on players in their organization, but considering how much trouble they get into compared to other sports athletes it is surprising they are going more in depth now.  Check us out on twitter! @joeloobs @PatriotsLife
