Bucs' Revis making amends with Kraft, Brady

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up Darrelle Revis during the off-season, which did not work out in their favor as he tore his ACL during the offseason. But today, the Bucs' were at Gillette for joint practices with the New England Patriots, and Revis, who would of been going up against his former rivals, had some nice things to say about his old nemesis, Tom Brady. According to ESPN, Revis was stating that Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the game, and that he has gotten better since tearing his ACL in 2008. Revis also had this to say when he talked about Brady and Manning:

"Oh yeah. It's between him and Peyton Manning, but it's a good race between both of them," Revis remarked. "They're both great. I played against both of them. They're awesome quarterbacks. They're tough, they're tough to game plan against as well."

But Revis wasn't the only one being nice on the field today, as Patriots owner Bob Kraft stopped by practice today to check in. Upon seeing Revis, he offered him well wishes during his recovery, as was reported by Christopher Price

For a team that "Bullied" the Philadelphia Eagles all last week, there seems to be a lot of humility coming out of camp at the start of this week, and that almost certainly means that the game is going to get interesting. One has to wonder that if Revis wasn't injured, would he continue to make the same statements about or players as he made today? Or what if he was still playing on the NY Jets? Probably not, seeing as how they are rivals. But in any case, a sense of humility from a one time hated player is always a good way to start off the week of joint practices.
