Can Amendola replace the Wes Welker production?

One word... Absolutely

It is becoming increasingly clear now that the Patriots have something brewing. Tom Brady and his receivers are lights out and completing, and the lone veteran, Danny Amendola is no different. Amendola was brought in to replace Wes Welker, who was traded to Denver in the offseason. Many have wondered if Amendola can replace Welker's assets, and to be honest, I believe he can. Amendola is a very strong replacement for Welker, and Brady seems to be clicking with him at practice. Amendola is also the best receiver by far at practice, and it shows during the joint practices where Brady is acting "like a surgeon". Brady even had this to say according to NESN:

“Yeah, we’re working at it,” Brady said to the media. “There are adjustments at the line of scrimmage, which are always important, especially in today’s game where the defenses are so multiple, you have to be able to make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. When you get these situations that we had [Tuesday], they can play out in a lot of different ways. For us to be on the same page is really important. The more we do it, the better we’re getting at it. We just have to stay with it.” “Danny’s done a great job,” Brady said. “He’s fun to be out there with. He takes practice very seriously. He’s an extremely hard worker, wants to do the right thing on every single play and has very high expectations for himself. It’s been fun. We’re in constant communication. He loves football, so it’s a great teammate to have.”

We all know that everyone loved Wes, except for the butter finger moment in the Superbowl, but hey the past is the past. As Josh McDaniels said earlier in the training camp year, "You never work with the same offense every year, but you learn to adapt". That is just what the Patriots will do, they will adapt, and we will move on to a new era. As for Amendola, well, lets just get ready for a show today shall we?
