Michael Vick to start against the Patriots tomorrow

The Eagles have a bit of a competition at the quarterback position, with Nick Foles, Michael Vick and Matt Barkley all on the roster.

ESPN:
Michael Vick will start for the Eagles in their preseason opener against the New England Patriots on Friday night because coach Chip Kelly says it's his turn to go first in the quarterback rotation.

Nick Foles also will take snaps with the starters, and Kelly said the second-year pro will start the second preseason game. Both Vick and Foles are expected to get between 12 and 20 snaps versus the Patriots.

The Patriots should have some practice going up against a running quarterback like Vick after seeing Tebow for the last few weeks and Vick himself the last few days. Not that it will matter much in the meaningless first preseason game.

The Pats defense hasn't fared very well against the Eagles offense so far in joint practices. We'll see if anything changes with Vick and Foles as dual starters Friday night.
