Did Belichick just diss LeGarrette Blount?

LeGarrette Blount is a big dude. Standing at (a generous) 6-feet and weighing around 250 lbs, there is no doubt that this guy can truck over people. However, is this becoming a running gag for the Patriots? Here is what head coach Bill Belichick had to say about him:

Most NFL running backs weigh in around the 210-230 lb range, but Blount towers over that mark. Now, if you're like me you might not necessarily understand how this quote from Belichick could be seen possibly as an insult. Think about it though, a guy like Blount who is massive can't go out there and try to juke out people, make a spin move, or bounce a failed run play to the outside. A guy with Blount's stature and weight should be focused on pounding the ball down field, not using finesse.

Was Belichick actually taking a shot at Blount? Unlikely. BB just saying what is on his mind and this could be an observation that he took note of. Blount made the team for a reason and will absolutely be an asset. The team might just want him to realize his role a little bit better. Or, and this is also very likely, we are adding context to a comment that could have meant absolutely nothing. With the Patriots, we never know with stuff like this.
