LT regressing on "Classless" Belichick comment

Years after Chargers LaDainian Tomlinson was quoted saying some very interesting comments regarding the 2007 AFC Divisional Round, he is now back-tracking his comments, and saying that he apologizes for the comments that he made that night, especially the ones where he said that Patriots Coach, Bill Belichick was "classless".

The incident stems from the 2007 AFC Divisional Playoff Round, when the Chargers lost to the Patriots. When the comeback could not of been completed, Tomlinson had to be restrained by his teammates because he was mad at the way the Patriots were celebrating.

This is what lead to the comment saying that the Patriots had no class because of their head coach, this according to CSNNE.com:

"I would never react in that way," he said after that game. "I was very upset. When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach."

Well today was backtracking day for LT, even though years have gone by since he said those comments.

Granted he wanted to make amends, but maybe years after the comment when he is all but retired and working for the NFL is not the best time. If anything, this should of been done years prior, but I guess when you are still playing, the game just gets the best of you in every way... even in the case of being level headed
