Rob Gronkowski "not expected" to play Sunday vs. Falcons

According to a report from Rotoworld, the outlook for tight end Rob Gronkowski to play vs. the Falcons Sunday is "not optomistic" and that he is ultimately not expected to return this week. This comes on the heels of reports that the big man had a 60/40 percent chance of playing.

Hopes were high this week that #87 would be back on the field to bolster the Patriots struggling offensive attack, particularly in the red zone where they have struggled mightily through three games. But if he is not 100% yet, it is best he continues to stay on the sidelines. He was rushed back last year to play in the AFC championship game, and we all know how that turned out.

For now, the team will look towards next week's game at the Bengals for the potential return of Gronk.
