Aqib Talib inactive for Patriots and will not play, Danny Amendola active

Aqib Talib still struggles with a hip injury and will not play today against the Miami Dolphins.

Talib has been a limited participant in practice since Friday of last week, however reporters have observed that he hasn't been been able to do much in his time on the field. It was reported after Talib sustained the injury against the Saints that he was dealing with a hip flexor which, depending on the severity, is most likely a two week injury. Given the fact that Talib has at least been practicing, he's likely to return next week against the Steelers.

Aqib Talib has been the MVP of the team so far, and his absence in the secondary changes things dramatically. Jets quarterback Geno Smith moved up and down the field at ease at times last Sunday, something we have not seen this year with Talib taking away the team's best receiver.

Danny Amendola, who suffered a concussion in the game against the Saints, has been cleared to play after missing last week. A healthier Amendola coupled with Rob Gronkowski in an expanded role can hopefully give the offense the boost that they will need with the defense hurting.
