Peyton Manning has a high ankle sprain, sprains in both ankles
The mighty Peyton Manning finally lost last week, and to his former team the Colts.
He certainly didn't look like the machine he's been to start the season, and part of that might be because he's injured.
Manning missed a practice earlier this week with an "ankle" injury. ESPN's Chris Mortenson has learned that it sounds a little bit severe.
Both of P. Manning's ankles are sprained, including a high right ankle sprain aggravated by Robert Mathis' 2nd sack. Pain killer for today.

Manning never missed a game until missing an entire season recovering from neck surgery, so it's not surprising to hear that he's going to tough it through these ones in order to play. How effective can Peyton Manning hopped up on drugs be? I guess we'll find out today when he faces the abyssmal Washington Redskins defense.
