Peyton Manning is human, throws pick six
Is this really article worthy? Absolutely not. However, the fact of the matter is Peyton Manning is basically a robot on the field this year. Look at his statistics; 22 touchdowns, only 2 interceptions, 2179 yards and a 128.8 QB rating. Flashes of 2007 Tom Brady come to mind and we all know what happened that year as TB12 led the Patriots to a nearly perfect season, coming up just minutes and a miraculous catch short.
Peyton has been playing out of his mind this season. While the Patriots decided to throw any receiver they could find to Brady, the Broncos made it a point to surround Manning with talent and their efforts have paid off. However, even football's all-time great players have moments where people look at them and say, 'oh yeah, they really are still human!'. Peyton's moment came this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars who Broncos were favored against by roughly 28 points.
Manning threw an interception that was then returned for a touchdown. At the time, this TD kept the Jaguars in a game that they had no business being in at all. The Broncos did however pull out the win, though they came nowhere near covering the record-setting spread that they were given. Peyton and the Broncos look to be the powerhouse of the NFL this year but will they go undefeated? At this point it is hard to say no, but they will have to go through the Patriots during the regular season. By the look of the Pats victory over the Saints, this team has a lot of fire in them so the Broncos will be sure to give their best effort.
