Report: Sebastian Vollmer to have Surgery Today on Broken Right Leg

 The early reports are not good on injured Right Tackle Sebastian Vollmer.

According to the Boston Herald, Vollmer will undergo surgery today to repair a broken right leg. Vollmer was injured during yesterday's win and could be heard yelling in agony on the field.

It's currently unknown if Vollmer's injury will result in him being placed on season ending Injured Reserve, but that looks like a definite possibility. The decision will likely come down to whether the Patriots are willing to sacrifice a roster spot to keep the faint hope of a Vollmer comeback in the postseason alive.

Marcus Cannon came in when Vollmer was injured and played the rest of the game at right tackle. He can expected to be the starter going forward.
