Tom Brady puts blame on himself for offensive woes

Speaking in his weekly press conference today, Patriots quarterback obviously had to touch on the struggles of his offense. The blame, he says, is all on him.

That blame has been tossed around a lot recently. The team has gone from having stable veterans like Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd coupled with some dangerous young tight ends in Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, to having none of the above. Obviously, with the Brady-led offense last year leading the league in points, a lot of blame is placed on the only new things in this offense - the receivers.

That's not totally the case though, and Brady realizes it.

With the team barely able to move the ball last week, they're going to have to get better quickly. The potent New Orleans Saints offense is coming to town, and you cannot afford to give Drew Brees and company as many chances on the field as they gave the Cincinnatti Bengals. The best recipe against the better quarterbacks in the league is to keep them off of the field.

However, Brady isn't focused on sustaining long drives right now. He'll take anything he can get.

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2013 New England Patriots.
