Ed Reed clears waivers, now a free agent



For those of you keeping track at home, safety Ed Reed is now officially on the market after every NFL team decided to pass on the opportunity to claim him off the waiver wire. The 4pm deadline has passed and this now leaves Reed as an unrestricted free agent who can sign with any team. As for the Patriots, majority of people seem to be split on whether they would like to see the team sign the former All-Pro safety. More details to come...

UPDATE: There is plenty of Twitter buzz saying that Reed was spotted at Logan Airport in Boston. Once again, this is unconfirmed but the rumor is spreading quickly.
