Jets continue stockpiling Patriots, sign Jermaine Cunningham

The Patriots' biggest rival to the south has made a habit of picking up former Patriots recently. After claiming Zach Sudfeld off of waivers earlier in the year (and then making him a captain against the Patriots) they also signed Ras-I Dowling to their practice squad. Dowling was the Pats' second round pick in 2011, and seeing as he's still eligible for a practice squad, he obviously didn't see the field much.

Today, they've continued this pattern signing another former Pats' second rounder. Jermaine Cunningham.

Cunningham was released by the team at roster cut downs and then caught on with the 49ers before being released by them as well. The Jets already have a stout defensive line, so it's unlikely Cunningham sees much playing time in New York.
