Wow.

A muffed punt by Denver's Tony Carter set up Stephen Gostkowski for a game winning field goal late in overtime.

It was a game of wild swings both ways. The Broncos lead at halftime 24-0 after three first quarter Patriot fumbles gifted Denver 17 early points off of turnovers. However the Patriots would score 31, count them, 31 unanswered points to take a 31-24 lead.

That left too much time for Peyton Manning, who capped off a late drive with a game tying touchdown to Demaryius Thomas. Overtime lead to another big moment, as the Patriots won the coin toss but elected to defer, choosing to force Denver to drive into the 20 mile per hour wind.

Tom Brady completed 34 of his 50 passes for 344 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. His counterpart, Peyton Manning, was 19-36 for 150 yards, 2 touchdowns and a pick.

Knowshon Moreno ran for 224 yards on 37 carries in the loss. Julian Edelmen caught 9 passes for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Rob Gronkowski caught 7 for 90 yards and a touchdown.
