This past offseason, the Patriots made a deal to sign defensive tackle Armond Armstead who was coming of an All-Star season in the Canadian Football League. The transition between leagues is never an easy process, but in Armstead's case, it seems to be a process that has not even begun yet. During the preseason and training camp Armstead was listed with a difficult illness and was limited in participation.
With injuries continuing to plague the team this season, the defense has been one of the few bright sides. However, the numbers continue to thin. Armstead's presence would be much more important now than in the past. So where is he? He began the season on the NFI (non-football injury/illness) list but now could return. Apparently he's still with the team:

So with Armstead still training with the team, it is hard to imagine that he will not make a debut soon. We could imagine that the team and himself are doing everything for him to finally make an appearance in the game. They could really use him at this point and I'm sure Armstead is itching to get his first taste of NFL action.
