Brady says he has never been a part of a year like this

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady talked with WEEI this morning (as he does every Monday), but what he had to say was quite interesting. He talked about the year in review, and what the Pats have to look forward to coming into the playoffs.

“Never been part of a year like this, really, when we’ve been challenged the most, we’ve been at our best. We’re fortunate to be at this point, We’ve worked hard to get to this point. Now we have to go out and take advantage of it. We’ve proven this year we can win in just about anything, adverse weather conditions, rainy and cold. It can be 50 degrees and perfect, whatever it is, the opponent yesterday wasn’t the rain. It wasn’t the cold. It was the Buffalo Bills. I thought we fought through adversity, really played a tough game, played a hardnosed, tough football game.”

Whether it is the core group of young players, or the drive this team has, Brady knows that they can not stop working now, and must use the off week to prepare for the playoffs and a run for Metlife Stadium. But at the same time, Brady knows that there is a possibility of losing Josh McDaniels, and he also addressed that this morning.

“Josh has been the best offensive coach I could ever imagine, he’s so prepared. He’s so confident in what he does. I have so much respect for him for what he does for me, what he does for our team. I hope he doesn’t go anywhere. I’d love him to coach me for the rest of my life. That’s just the way it is. He’s one of my best friends and I love having him.”

Even with this being one of the craziest teams in years, the playoffs should prove to be a great run and in the end, the possibilities are endless.
