Brady - "We gave the game away"

Tom Brady was feeling the frustration after the Miami loss - he cursed on live TV, then walked away from the podium. Monday morning, he was calm enough to express the frustration that he was feeling.

Here's what he had to say, according to
"We had opportunities to do better and we didn't take advantage," he said. "That's why we sit here pissed off about loses. It makes for a long week when you give a game away that you really have a great opportunity to win."

The Patriots finished 1-4 in the red zone, according to, including the last drive of the game when Brady threw an interception to finish the game. On the plus side, he that he didn't want to make excuses for not having main red zone threat Rob Gronkowski.

"We had plenty of chances without those guys on the field," Brady said. "We just have to come up with ways to score more points, because it's not going to cut it, 20 points."

Tom Brady is absolutely correct here - 20 points won't cut it going forward in their next 2 games against Baltimore and Buffalo and going into the postseason.

1-4 in the red zone won't cut it. And without Gronk, they need to find a new red zone threat to rely on when they get down inside the 20. Who is that going to be? Julian Edelman? Danny Amendola? Shane Vereen? Well, at this point, your guess is as good as mind, but someone needs to step up and fill in for Gronk for the rest of the season.
