Fantasy Fix: 5 Up/5 Down - Charles in Charge

The Bizarro World that is the 2013 Fantasy Football season has made its way into the 2013 Fantasy Playoffs. Six of the top 10 Fantasy scorers on Sunday are currently owned 30% or less. That means there’s a good chance you are cursing the Fantasy gods as your team just got knocked out of the playoffs by the likes of Ryan Fitzpatrick (32.80 points), Matt Asiata (24.60 points) and Michael Preston (14.70 points) Who?? Exactly.
Hopefully your team had more studs than duds on Sunday. With only one game remaining in Week 15 and the Fantasy Championships straight ahead,  let’s go five up and five down position-by-position.
Five Up
1.  The Crown Royal Reign On Player of the Week:Jamaal Charles, RB, 51.50 Fantasy points: The Chiefs running back rushed eight times for 20 yards with one touchdown and added eight catches for 195 yards with four more touchdowns. The  51 points were tied for the most Fantasy points since 1961. They had FFB in the 60′s? I would have drafted Gale Sayers or maybe Jimi Hendrix.
2. Nick Foles, QB, 34.22 points: Foles completed 30-of-48 passes for 428 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Napoleon Foles has been the most consistent quarterback for the past six weeks. If you picked him up back in October, welcome to the Championship. *raises glass*
3. DeSean Jackson, WR, 25.50 points: Jackson caught 10 passes for 195 yards with one touchdown. You’d think with all those Fantasy stats from the Eagles they would have won their game. They didn’t. Ticker tease.
4. Seattle Seahawks DEF/ST, 24.00 points: Seattle had four sacks and five interceptions. Who was throwing that ball, Tony Romo? No, even worse, Eli Manning.
5. Tim Wright, TE, 14.20 points: The Bucs receiver caught seven balls for 82 yards and a touchdown to lead all tight ends. I told you it’s Bizarro World.
Five Down
5. Shane Vereen, RB, 2.10 points: Vereen rushed two times for only 13 yards, adding three catches for eight yards. All the “experts” predicted a huge week for the Patriots back, what happened? Well, to be honest, all us “experts” had our annual Fantasy Football Christmas party last week and were just too hung over to do a good job. Apologies. *burp*
4. Cincinnati DEF/ST, 2.00 points: The Bengals D has been tough all year. Not so much on Sunday.
3.  Andre Johnson, WR, 1.80 points: Johnson caught four passes for 18 yards. Remember that Christmas party I told you about? Texans QB Case Keenum was there. ‘Nuff said.
2. Eli Manning, QB, 1.40 points: Manning completed 18-of-31 passes for 156 yards, no touchdowns, and five interceptions. Are you sure that wasn’t Cooper Manning?
1. Charles Clay, TE, 0.60 Fantasy points: Last week Clay had 21 Fantasy points. This week he caught one pass for six yards. That’s one more catch than Jimi Hendrix had.
