Fantasy Fix: Week 14 MASH Unit
As the playoff push begins, don’t be the guy that gets knocked out because he started an injured player that should have been left on the bench. You’ll be the mockery of the league. For a year. Don’t be that guy.
Here’s the Week 14 MASH unit:
Quarterbacks
• Aaron Rodgers (GB) remains out with a busted collarbone and we may not see him until 2014. That’s won’t help us. Matt Flynn gets the start against Atlanta. That won’t help either.
• Jay Cutler (CHI) won’t play Monday night against the Cowboys because of an ankle injury. Josh McCown owners breathe a sigh of relief.
• Carson Palmer (ARI) is questionable with an elbow. He’ll be a game time decision and the decision will be he plays in the game.
• Brandon Weedon (CLE) is out. Jason Campbell will start for the Browns against the Patriots. Josh Gordon owners rejoice.
• Christian Ponder (MIN) has a concussion. Matt Cassel will get a concussion.
Running Backs
• Adrian Peterson (MIN) was limited on Friday with a groin issue. AP will play. My “friend” had a groin issue once but some penicillin cleared it right up.
• Reggie Bush (DET) missed a couple of days of practice with a calf problem and is listed as questionable. Adult roster supervision is required.
• Le’Veon Bell (PIT) had some post concussion issues, but practiced. He’ll take some Advil and start Sunday against the Fins.
• Andre Ellington (ARI) is dealing with a knee. My roster is not dealing with Andre.
• Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings (OAK) are both questionable against the Jets. As bad as the Jets are, they can stop the run. Don’t risk the Raiders running backs.
Wide Receivers
• Vincent Jackson (TB) missed some practice this week and is listed as questionable with a hammy. He’ll be a game time decision. My game time decision will be whether to go nachos or wings.
• A.J. Green (CIN) is probable with a groin injury. If Green were on one leg you still start him.
• T.Y. Hilton (IND) has a bad shoulder, but will play. Will he score any Fantasy points? I’d list that as questionable.
• Percy Harvin (SEA) is out. If he’s clogging up your roster, it’s time to say bye-bye.
• Aaron Dobson (NE) is out. Is Julian Edelman available? Get him now. Buy me a drink later.
• Denarius Moore (OAK) is out. Andre Holmes could be a sneaky sleeper. And by “sneaky” I mean desperate.
Tight Ends
• Rob Gronkowski (NE) was limited in practice. When asked if he’ll start Sunday, Gronkowski said: “Gronk play. Gronk score touchdown. Gronk spike ball.”
• Julius Thomas (DEN) is probable and will play. Have an Orange Julius and start him.
• Tony Gonzalez (ATL) is listed as questionable and will start. One thing not questionable is that fact the Falcons stink.
• Jordan Reed (WAS) was a late scratch last week, but the Redskins say he’ll play Sunday. They said that last week.
• Antonio Gates (SD) may not be on the injury report, but he’s dealing with a leg injury. Look to Ladarius Green as a nice sleeper Sunday and thank me Monday.
• Delanie Walker (TEN) missed practice this week with a concussion. Don’t chance it.
• Anthony Fasano (KC) has a concussion as well. I’m starting to think concussions may be a problem in the NFL.
