For seemingly no apparent reason, Patriots cut ties with Marquice Cole
Marquice Cole isn't the biggest name in the Patriots secondary, but he is one that has seen the field quite a bit.
He's really more like the last line of defense, when the injuries pile up enough, Cole comes on. Usually not to great results.
Today, he's been released.

Even though the Patriots are hurting in the defensive secondary, with Devin McCourty (concussion) missing practice on Thursday, they released cornerback Marquise Cole on Thursday.
There was no corresponding roster move, so Cole theoretically could return soon.
